Five Line Paragraph

My aim is to produce a music magazine that will appeal to the 18-35 year old range. The house style is going to be very simple but something that gets the message across clearly, the pictures that are featured will be close ups or medium close ups so that one of the first thing that gets your attention is the picture of the artist featured. The tone of my magazine will be serious, while there might be the odd bit that lightens the mood the majority of it will be focused on the actual music, I feel this is something that a lot of music magazine readers want and this is why I think my new music magazine will appeal to them.

CD Front + Back Cover Review

See the second uploaded post for images of the two CD's.

The band that features in the CD covers would fit under the indie genre of music, as such i've designed the cover so that it has a distinctively indie feel about it. You can see this in the basic pictures on the CD and the clear and simplistic text.

Because of the title and theme of the CD the band could be interpreted as having gone to great lengths to get this CD ready and out there, the song titles also suggest that the band could have had problems along the way.

The target audience could feature a wide variety of ages though the main target audience would probably be in the 16-22 range, the likelihood is that they'll be able to relate to the content of the CD.

I've researched into other CD's under the 'indie' label availble at the moment and a good percentage of them are simple and not flashy with the covers, because of this I feel the way i've designed the CD cover goes with the stereotype. The one thing that doesn't go along with the stereotype is the fact that not one band member features on the front or back cover which I feel makes my CD slightly different to others out there.

Yet More Screenshots

Here is a route I started to go down with the Front Cover but decided against pursuing.

The following 2 screenshots are in the early stages of design which included plenty of basic playing around with photoshop.
